    Automatic Espresso Machines

An automatic espresso machine is a type of espresso machine (espresso coffee maker) that automatically  brews the espresso, based on manufacturer pre-designated volumes. Some machines have adjustable settings, allowing you to select varying levels of coffee and water volume based on your personal tastes.

Manual espresso machines differ, where the operator (e.g., barista) manually tamps ground coffee into the portafilter.

Volume and Pressure Regulated by Automatic Espresso Machines

The automatic espresso machine brews the espresso for a predetermined volume (e.g., automatic volume control) with a sufficient amount of pressure.
