Mexican Altura Coatepec Coffee Beans

One of Mexico's finest coffees, Altura Coatepec is a wet processed (washed) coffee known for its light body as well as a nutty flavor and pleasing light and delicate acidity - a brightness that often exhibits chocolaty overtones.

Coatepec Coffee Growing Region

Coatepec is a high-grown coffee from Veracruz State, Mexico on the northern hills of the region's central mountain range. Coatepec is a market name and Altura is Spanish for "heights," referring to coffee grown at higher elevations.

The town of Coatepec is about 9 miles (15 km) south of Xalapa and is known for its many historic red tiles. Also see Mexican Coffee.
